My Life Without Me

"My Life Without Me" has really stayed with me...very well done.

Could we have a brief explanation of this book? I mean, is it self-help, a novel, a memoir? Why did it stick with you? I see titles in bookstores all the time, and even if someone else loves a book, it may not be right for me ...

actually, it is a movie. i tried to cut and paste the re-viewer's text but for some reason couldn't paste it to this post.
IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS FILM, DON'T READ ANY FURTHER. But i don't think it will spoil it for you because it's the acting and timing and wisdom that are really moving.
the actors are so seamlessly natural and subtle. there are only a few characters, each played very well. the main character is a woman that is mother and wife and is diagnosed with a life threatening disease and does not have long to live. she keeps this to herself and begins to plan a beautiful new life for her husband and children...without their knowing, of coarse. she makes a list of the experiences she wants to have before she dies and one by one lets herself experience them.
it makes one wonder what might be on you list.
