I found this book very helpful. It covers issues about making art, both physical and psychological. Making the space and time to work on art is difficult when people have many other time commitments.
I have read a lot of books that see art as a career, but this one encourages us to realize that it is simply not the same as making a product and selling it. When we are process-oriented, the work is alive. Not to say we don't want a product, but just that the "juice" of art comes through us, time melts away, and we live in the moment, letting the work make itself.
